Dramatic dragon designs

June 10th, 2009

Silver class have been designing dragons using a variety of media including clay, charcoal, papier mache and various drawing techniques. Reilly Moores commented “We worked together to make a papier mache dragon head and now everyone is making a section of the body out of boxes. We will hang the dragon from the ceiling of the classroom.”

Look out for a photo in The Westerner this week.

Arts action

June 10th, 2009

Students all over the school are getting involved in arts projects and displays. Sapphire class have been creating mathematics themed art and Indigo class have been making masks from around the world. We can’t wait to see their displays at Creative Communities!

Check out North-West News this week for a sneak peak of some of their artwork.

“Have a go. Do your best. Support our school.” – teachers are practising what they preach!

May 18th, 2009

We have received a number of staff contributions (amateur art) to auction on the night. Even Mr Smith has been inspired to draw! It would be great to have something from every staff member though – office staff, teacher aides, groundsmen – this includes you. Get creative and support our school!

We hope parents and children are saving hard to buy an artwork…  See below for some examples of ’staff art’ we will be auctioning.
